Shanika Smiley: Documentarian Extraordinaire

While working on the mural, for Hampton Roads: The Canvas, I met Shanika Smiley. She documented our project from beginning to end. Having a short film about the artists and our work seemed to give the whole project a greater feeling of legitimacy (2 Legit! 2 Legit 2 Quit!) Watch the documentary she made here.

I Painted A Mural!

In November of 2010 I submitted samples of my artwork to AltDaily to participate in Hampton Roads: The Canvas. I, and three other artists, were selected to paint our original designs on a dilapidated building on Granby Street in dowtown Norfolk, Virginia. The project was an amazing four months of painting a 75 ft wide by 8 ft tall section of the old Zedd’s building.
